AITeaching exists to serve the public good: to help teachers and schools make sense of AI from a pedagogical perspective. We believe AI should support, not disrupt, education.
Our mission is to explore and promote Pedagogical AI: an approach to educational AI that puts learning, teacher agency, and student well-being at the center. We work alongside educators to make AI accessible, ethical, and useful, not just efficient.
Pedagogical AI is not a tool, it’s a mindset. It means using AI to deepen learning, not to automate it. It recognizes the central role of teachers and the importance of active, critical engagement from students.
Done well, Pedagogical AI helps teachers design better tasks, give timely feedback, and tailor learning without losing the human connection. The goal isn’t faster learning, it’s deeper, more thoughtful learning.
AI is already entering Finnish classrooms. But most tools weren’t designed with our pedagogy in mind. Too often, “AI in education” means automation and shortcuts, not reflection, curiosity, or growth.
